Does fitbit sync when not wearing

I use My Fitness Pal and Endomondo and they are both connected to my fitbit account. Even though I have entered activiites i nboth MFP & Endomondo, there is no activity in my fitness pal. Is that because I am not using my fitbit device?

I am not quite sure i understand your question. First, make sure that MFP and Endomondo are not connected to each other directly. That can mess up the data.

There is no need to manually enter activity in either if you are entering it in Fitbit. It will transfer over. However, Endomondo currently has a problem receiving activity data from Fitbit. I have a help ticket in with them since last week. They are aware of it but so far have not indicated when it will be fixed.

Where are you looking for the data  in MFP? Have you gone here and chosen a Fitbit report?

Buddyosher, I think your MFP and Fitbit account may be synching, but your fitbit calorie burn (while not wearing the fitbit) just isn't high enough for you to see a fitbit adjustment on MFP. Activity itself isn't synched from fitbit to MFP, what is synched are extra calories burned from activity beyond what MFP expect. MFP expects you to burn your BMR, some general activity calories (based on the activity level you chose) plus any exercise you log on MFP. If you didn't wear your fitbit your calorie burn is likely your BMR plus your endomondo workout--that probably did not add up to more than MFP expected. (Even if set to sedentary it assumes that 25% of your total calorie burn is from your general activity, if set higher it assumes more activity). You can compare what your fitbit burn was compared to what MFP expected on the MFP site. Look in your MFP exercise diary and click on the little "i" next to "fitbit adjustment". Sometimes there are delays in syncing so if that was happening that could be why, but I wouldn't be surprised if you just didn't burn enough to see an adjustment when not wearing the fitbit (I've had that when I didn't wear my fitit but did use an activity tracking phone app that logged my exercise to fitbit). For example, I am set to lightly active on MFP so it expects me to burn about 1770 calories a day. My BMR is about 1270. If I didn't wear my fitbit but logged a 300 calorie workout--my fitbit burn would only be 1570, MFP doesn't give me an adjustment unless I exceed 1770 calories. If I were set to sedentary (MFP assumes 1500-something for me), I may have earned a couple calories but BMR + a one hour workout puts me around that standard so I might not see any adjustment.
