I just started using the Surge today and I've synced up successfully with MFP. I did notice when I came back to my laptop, that there were duplicate entries for the exercise I just completed, one that my Surge recorded and the one that I entered into MFP, which are the same exercise I read that I was still supposed to log my food and exercise in MFP. Is this correct? I read about the negative calorie adjustment and maybe that will happen overnight, I don't fully understand that part yet, maybe in due time.

@Shawn-F if you log an exercise into MFP and the date/timestamp match exactly with the activity on Fitbit it will not create a 2nd entry. The problem is MFP only lets you enter start time & duration in the format of hh:mm whereas the Fitbit Surge puts the start time & duration in hh:mm:ss format. So unless you begin your activity exactly on the minute and end exactly on the minute the two will never match up. I used to log my exercises into MFP too and it would sync up (under the old Force, and Flex units I had) but with the new ones it doesn't so I stopped logging workouts on that site. Just log my food on MFP and workouts on Fitbit.
