I'm getting the same error.  Were you able to fix it?

This is a known issue affecting all user accounts. Our team is looking into this and is working on a fix as quickly as possible.

We do apologize for the trouble - we hope to have Twitter integration back to normal very soon.

This problem still seems to exist. I can't link twitter yet...

It is true - our team has not yet resolved this problem.

I apologize that I don't have a specific date on which it is expected to be fixed, but I will update this thread as soon as I hear any news to that end.

Thanks Matthew.

I am building an ifttt recipe that updates my Day One Journal with steps etc via twitter. I am still waiting for my new Flex, it should arrive tomorrow. My Ultra (I think it was called?) bit the dust some months ago.

Time to get things together, new years resolutions and stuff, you know? 🐵

Sounds very cool! I'm hoping to see some more IFTTT support from Fitbit in the future - I know it's a pretty common request.

Hopefully this Twitter bug won't take too long to fix. And I hope you enjoy getting started with your new Flex!

Edit: Here's the Idea Board suggestion relevant to IFTTT, in case you're interested.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, the problem is that Twitter requires HTTPS for all API connections as of January 14: https://dev.twitter.com/discussions/24239

@mgorven Thank you for the tip! I believe our site team is well on their way to having this corrected, and we're simply waiting for a release to see it go live. I will pass on your info, in case they were indeed not aware of this.

This error message should no longer appear, and Twitter integration should now be working properly for all users.

Thank you @mgorven for the helpful advice!
