Hello @blhulslander, welcome to our community. I noticed that your post has not received response and I just want to give follow up with you how it goes?
When you are using your One keep in mind that regular step based exercise is not require to do any different beside wearing it. Now if you are doing an exercise where require more than steps, then is recommendable to use the exercise mode of the One by holding the button for a few seconds until the stopwatch appear. This will improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn. All steps, calories, and active minutes recorded by your tracker are overridden for the duration of the activity or until you press and hold the button of our One to stop the activity. This will ensure your steps are not duplicated.
If you are using any different mode like MobileRun this will use your phone sensors to calculate distance, elevation, and pace for your walk, run, or hike. If you wear your tracker while using MobileRun, the steps, active minutes, and calories burned that you see on your Fitbit dashboard come from the tracker.
with this in mind make sure you don't have duplicate activities at the same period of time on your activity history. If you do just delete the entry to reduce your numbers.
Let me know if the issue persist, I'll be around.
