I just got the FitBit Alta HR and for the life of me, I cannot get it to sync with MyFitnessPal. I followed the steps in https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1427466 at least 5 times, and it won't work. Also, MyFitnessPal on my desktop is updating with the steps I am taking, but MyFitnessPal on my iphone is not. The FitBit, both desktop on iphone, are not syncing any of the foods I log on MyFitnessPal. I called FitBit, and they indicated that I need to contact MyFitnessPal; when I called MyFitnessPal, they indicated that I should call FitBit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Could there be a chance that you have logged into different accounts? Perhaps there was some sort of typo and you ended up with different accounts on some ends? I'd recommend trying to log out of everywhere and verifying that the same accounts are being used everywhere.
