Hello,
Having an issue using FitStar on my iPad along with my Fitbit Surge.
I use the FitStar app on my iPad every morning to workout. I have the app connected to my Fitbit account. Once I am finished with my workout it sends the workout data to my Fitbit account.
The issue I am having is that start Time of my workout is being recorded as the actual Time of the sync. Not the start of the workout.
For example: I start a workout at 7:00 am, it lasts for 30 minutes afterwich it syncs the workout data to Fitbit but in my activity log on my Fitbit Dashboard the start time is set to 7:30. The time when it when it synced, not when the workout actually started. It should have been set to 7:00 am.
This makes the data captured by my Surge irrevelent - Heart Rate, Steps - Are now off by 30 minutes. I have to go in and delete the activity then re-enter it manually with the correct times.
My Surge and iPad are both set to the correct times. Both are set to the correct Daylight Savings Time.
Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?
I sent Fitbit and Fitstar both e-mails about this. Fitbit said to check with Fitstar. Have not heard back from them.

It would appear the wrong time is being sent by Fitstar. I would be spending my time over there getting is resolved.

Hello,
I am noticing the same thing. When I do a Fitstar workout, the workout time recorded by Fitbit is the next sync after the workout, not the workout time. This is also the point where it starts collecting the heart rate and calories burned - so in reality, the information there is completely inaccurate.
Should I be putting a my FitBit Charge HR into "activity" mode when I start my Fitstar workout?
I am also going to open a ticket with Fitstar about this!
Thanks,
- Steve

I got a response from FitStar that they are aware of the problem and working to fix it, for what that's worth.

Yes, I received the same response.
After doing my daily morning FitStar routine this morning the issue is still there.
Hope they get this fixed soon.

Im having a timestamp issue as well. Its putting in the fitstar activity 4 hours in the future. So Im thinking it has to do with timezones. If I link fitstar to MFP, it works correctly. So it seems like its only an issue syncing directly to fitbit.
Waiting to hear back from them.

I'm having the same issue with the FitStar logging the time on my Fitbit account 4 hours in the future. For instance, I performed a workout on the 20th at 8:52 PM it logged it to Fitbit as the 21st at 1:15 AM. So im not sure its exactly a timezone issue because it never logs it with the same time difference. Like another workout was performed at 8:42 PM and it logged it as 1:39 AM.

I've been seeing a 5 hour difference. I just noticed it because it says my heartrate stayed at about 68 during my workout because the time captured was when I was still sleeping. That'd be awesome, but is obviously very wrong. I'm emailing all three: Fitbit, Fitstar, and MFP.
