My charge 4 will sync with the Fitbit app correctly, but suddenly has stopped syncing with the vitality app - any ideas ?
I have tried all the recommended unlinking/ relinking/ software & apps up to date.

Thanks for the details in your post and for the troubleshooting performed. If you already tried the steps from the Vitality's website and both accounts are still not syncing, You can contact Vitality to see if there's any trouble from their side or if there is anything else they can suggest.
