Fitbit Exercise Sync

MFP is showing a line for fitbit steps, but doesn't seem to include any exercise I log through fitbit. Do these items sync? If I add the exercise to MFP, it will show up twice on the fitbit dash so I don't want to do that, and I've confirmed that the accounts are linked (as the step count does show up under exercise, and my water and calories do sync over). The exercise was just walking though, so maybe it doesn't add a new line item for exercises that are primarily step based?
