Fitbit + Garmin

Why is it so impossible for Fitbit + Garmin to integrate? Think of your customers first. Some of us would like to use different watches, scales, whatever at different times and shouldn't have to worry about data loss because the two can't develop a way to sync.

This is not a marriage or monogamous relationship It's a smart/fitness watch.

Fitbit has an open invite to any third party that wants to link up.

But do you really think either party wants to link up with their compitition.

Fitbit normally doesn't initiate a link to a third party so maybe it would be better to ask Garmin.

Based on comments from others both here and in other forums, yes, I think they should consider integrating with the competition for the reasons that I mentioned in my post. Folks like the freedom and flexibility of choice and I, for one, a long-time Garmin user who also has a Garmin scale, would prefer to use whichever device I choose on any given day without data loss. Again, I don't see it as having to be a monogamous relationship, which would actually expand the customer base as I'm sure I'm not unique in that matter.

But, I get it. That's clearly not something they're currently interested in, so they'll be getting their Ionic back and I'll stick with Garmin for now.

Your decision, but as stated on the Fitbit web site, Fitbit invites all third parties to join up with them. This makes it look like Garmin, not Fitbit, does not want to play.

Since Garmin does not want to play, you are in titled to make your own decision and why Fitbit gives a 45 day money back refund if purchased through fitbit.com
