Fitbit Ionic Matched Runs

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hey, so my Fitbit account is linked with Strava, and my runs do show up on both the strava and Fitbit apps on my phone, however on my Ionic I cannot view the runs within the Strava app. I have done 2 runs recently which haven’t shown up on the watch, but everything before that has. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @Tomedo, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that you're unable to check your runs in the Strava app on your Fitbit Ionic. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Is this affecting the Strava app only? I suggest you to uninstall the Strava app and then set it up again following the next steps:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > Apps.
  2. Tap or click the gear icon next to Strava. You may need to swipe up to find the app.
  3. Tap Authorize and follow the instructions on-screen to log in to your account and authorize the connection.
  4. Sync your watch to see your recent activity in the Strava app

If you also want your Fitbit data to be shared with Strava:

  1. Go to https://strava.fitbit.com/.
  2. Tap the Connect button and follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your account and authorize the connection.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hey @RicardoFitbit, thank you for the input. I have done the steps you provided, and re-linked strava and re downloaded the app onto my watch. However now the only difference from before is that my ionic now shows the “Link Account” message when going into the strava app. Even though I am logged in on the app?

Thanks for your prompt reply @Tomedo.

Seems odd that the Stava app connection was revoked from your account. To connect your Fitbit and Strava accounts:

  1. Visit strava.fitbit.com and tap or click Connect.
  2. Log in to your Strava account.
  3. When prompted, authorize Strava to connect to your Fitbit account and follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Hey @RicardoFitbit, thanks again for replying so quick. However, the issue still persists and it still says “link accounts” even though the two accounts are linked. Again, my Fitbit runs show up on strava on my phone, just not on my watch.

Thanks.

Update:

Matched runs is now working, and then two runs that wouldn’t show up have now appeared. However, a run I did very recently had not shown up, indicating that it probably just takes a while to sync. Is there anything else I can do to maybe make this process faster?

I have the same problem. I’ve done a run today but I haven’t any matches runs on my Ionic.
