I appreciate this has been asked, and answered many a time however I believe my situation to be unique.
Fitbit and MyFitnessPal, MFP refuse to sync.
BACKGROUND
I have always had Fitbit and MFP which have always worked together flawlessly. Both were registered to Email#1.
WHATS CHANGED
I have recently migrated over to Gmail, Email#2.
In Fitbit I have changed the account details and successfully transferred over to Email#2.
I no longer want to use MFP with Email#1, so I have created a fresh account with MFP, and it's active on Email#2
THE PROBLEM
Fitbit/MFP will not sync using the new MFP account.Exercise
from FitBit does not appear in MFP.
Calories recorded in MFP do not appear in Fitbit.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED
I have revoked all access in FitBit and reconnected the apps. No joy.
I have deleted the MFP email#2 account and recreated and relinked. No joy. I have tried every possible combination of the above from the apps, mobile Chrome, mobile Firefox and Desktop Chrome and Desktop Firefox.
When linking it correctly transfers me to the Fitbit Access Request page. I am able to click all the checkboxes for all specific accesses and I can click ok. It then transfers me to to MFP homepage but when checking apps, it does not show Fitbit as connected, I see "Connect" and "Buy". I also tried adding Fitbit as a step tracker in MFP but it's the same.
After this process the FitBit app correctly updates the access page and I can see MFP has been allowed access.
On the Fitbit checkboxe page it correctly says I am using Email#2.
THE KICKER
If I connect Fitbit email#2 to my okd MFP account Email#1, it works perfectly. But I do not want to use the MFP Email#1.
I have tried everything except deleting my Fitbit account and making another one. I want to avoid this because I have lots of historic info on there.
This is literally driving me insane, it doesn't make any sense!
Please help.
