Hello and thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to provide me assistance with my particular issue. I purchased a Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch for myself as a Christmas gift over the 2019 holiday season. I do like the smartwatch and the capability of the features that are included with the smartwatch. I will admit that I am still learning about the device but overall I am happy with my purchase. I am however frustrated with the compatibility of applications and features that I read about prior to my purchase of the Versa2.
My issue is with the synch and updating of the data between the software of the Fitbit Versa 2 and the My Fitnesspal application. I am entering the exercise data and my food diary in the MyFitnesspal application and was hopeful the data would transfer upon the update and synch into my Fitbit Versa 2 software. Currently I am finding that in order to keep track of the exercise and food diary in both applications that I have to manually have to enter the data into the MyFitnesspal software and the Fitbit Versa 2 software. I would much prefer to not have to manually enter in the data twice each day. The synch capability with the compatible application of MyFitnesspal and others is a major reason why I decided upon purchasing the Versa 2. Is anyone else having the same issue as myself and have you found a fix? Could anyone direct me to useful information on how I may resolve this issue that I am experiencing? Please help if you can as this is very frustrating.

Your question is about the Fitbit account and third party accounts and has nothing to do with the Versa 2.
From following this board, and Facebook. Most people who connect Fitbit to MFP let Fitbit record their activity and use MFP to record and track foods. MFP gets your caloric burn from Fitbit.
Here is one page on how one user does this

I'm looking but can't seem to find out what stats MFP takes from or sends to Fitbit. Please remember that MFP is in charge of what they want to sync, not Fitbit.

I'm having the same exact problem. I've been trying to figure this out for the past three days. I'm frustrated with having to enter meals twice and my steps aren't synced. I wish I could resolve this issue.

We really do not want to track food with two different apps. We want Fitbit to track the activity and send it to MyFitnessPal, enter our food into MyFitnessPal and let MyFitnessPal determine the calorie difference.
Entering food into both places will only add confusion since each app users their own algorithms.
Please note that the data that syncs between the two accounts is controlled by MyFitnessPal, not Fitbit. MyFitnessPal does not take your logged food from Fitbit, I've been told MFP has a much nicer food interface, MFP also has no plans to send the food a user enters back to Fitbit. More info may be found on MFP
Now if a user is having issues with their daily activity syncing to MFP, they only steps from this end that can be suggested is to revoke access to MFP then going to MFP relink the two accounts. If this does not work then the user will need to reach out to MyFitnessPal, Fitbit has only provided the tools for MyFitnessPal.
To revoke access
If a user really has a concern about what data My fitnessPal syncs with Fitbit, the user needs to reach out to MyFitnessPal they have chosen what the want and what they send. Fitbit has nothing to do with this decision.
