Fitbit and third party apps not syncing

So, what's happening with the FitBit app now..??

Several months ago, it stopped syncing - spontaneously - with MyFitnessPal for no apparent reason. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both products several times to no avail.

So, a couple of months ago, I found that another app - Lose It! - did synch successfully with FitBit and the meal information was swapped back-and-forth successfully. Two days ago, THAT syncing stopped happening.

Syncing with other apps has been problematic with the entire time that I've had the FitBit. While the wearable technology is great, the app development and support have been horrible.

I'm glad that Google has purchased FitBit... That might bring a level of maturity to the application development process and support that isn't currently there. If things don't get better, I'll be retiring my FitBit and choosing another one of the many wearable options that do work regularly.

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Your feedback is appreciated, we're always working to improve the services provided and watches. I would like you to confirm you've tried unlinking and relinking both applications by doing the following:

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon

     > Settings > Applications.
  2. Click Revoke Access to disconnect an app from your Fitbit account.

If you have tried this and the information is still not syncing, you may want to try contacting the third-party applications for further assistance.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
