Fitbit app won't connect to facebook

When I go to: add friends (find friends), and then hit the Facebook tab, then click on the red "connect facebook", I wait for it connect but I get an error message it says "oops! An unexpected error has occurred, please try again in a little while." And I've been trying for weeks. Any ideas?

@Annemariebruce Welcome to the Community! I would like you to make sure that you have the latest version of the app which is 2.24.1. Also, try logging out of the app and force quitting it.
