I am seeing a lot of posts about using food trackers that are not the one offered by Fitbit. I am at the begining of tracking food and would like input on the options. Is there an advantage to useing Lose it! or MyFitnessPad over the one already offered by Fitbit?
Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Fitbit's food tracking is fairly new. A lot of the time you will scan a barcode and get no results. When you search manually, it can be hard to find the correct item. Apps like MyFitnessPal have been at it for much longer, so their database is far more comprehensive than Fitbits at this time. I don't think I've ever had to manually search for an item on MFP.
That being said I still like to track with Fitbit, so I can submit my own barcodes and help build the database. The less I have to rely on outside syncs the better, IMO.
