Fitbit is adding in calories I didn't consume.

I use myfitnesspal to track what I eat and have it synced to my fitbit dashboard.

Weird thing though, fitbit seems to be adding in calories that I didn't eat?

Myfitnesspal totals out to 1,262 calories, and I've tallied it manually to be sure it's correct. Fitbit claims that I've consumed 1,742 calories. Almost 500 calories out of nowhere.

What gives?

When you edit your meals in mfp, there is occasionally a glitch where mfp just adds the new total to Fitbit rather than deleting the old one and replacing it. If you look at your meal summaries in Fitbit, you will see you might have more than one for some meals. You can fix it yourself by deleting the wrong meal. It should clear up pretty quickly, but Fitbit has said in the past it's a mfp problem.
