Fitbit not syncing with MFP

Hi! I am having a problem with my exericses syncing. My fitbit has not synced with MFP for A LONG time now, maybe 2-3 months. What I have been doing is logging exercises in myfitnesspal, but it then does not transfer over to Fitbit and it shows that I burn innaccurate numbers on the my exercises. For example, I would really burn 50 and log it in MFP with times, but on Fitbit it gives me 100 calories....

HELP!

My fitbit is syncing correctly to MFP when it comes to steps and calories eaten, however it is not syncing any additional exercise that I enter into fitbit. This was working prior to today.

Is there a way to force a sync between myfitnesspal and FitBit?  I did force the FitBit sync but it only synced with my FitBit, not myfitnesspal.

I changed my username in myfitnesspal. Now my fitbit won't sync with it, and I can't change it.

Thanks for stopping by @taylorjohnson2 @SunsetRunner @JJLM @RedBullAngel! I noticed that all of you are having syncing issues between Fitbit and MFP. What I recommend to do first is make sure that your Fitbit account is linked to your MFP account. You can check this by logging to your Applications page. If you do have MFP linked, then I recommend you unlink and relink both accounts to ensure the communication between them. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."
5. You can then re-link the two accounts by going to http://www.fitbit.com/apps/myfitnesspal.

After relinking, you can verify that your accounts are syncing by using one of the following data points:

1. On Fitbit you can check for your meal summary and logged activities from MFP.
2. On MyFitnessPal, go to "My Home," then "Check-In." You should see your weight, Fitbit Steps, and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.

After you do this, if you continue to have issues, please contact MFP so they can give you a hand as well.

I wish you all the best of luck! Robot wink

@Mcore I've tried all of those things numerous times but it only seems to work for one or two syncs and then it does nothing. I contacted MFP several days ago but have heard nothing back from their support.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for the reply. I appreciate you letting me know that you have contacted MFP Customer Support. I was about to recommend this as well so they can also investigate from their end if its an issue with their connection. Either way I will forward this to our team members.

Thanks! Smiley Happy

mine appears to be working again, so maybe they did something with my support ticket (although I've never heard from them yet)

@SunsetRunner I'm very happy to hear that. We will follow up on this issue and prevent any other difficulty that may have been triggered from our end.

I appreciate your reply and the update. Happy stepping! Smiley Happy
