Did you mean:

Fitbit only shares activity with Health Connect.

My only use for Fitbit nowadays is for my Aria scale. I was thrilled when Health Connect support was added, but also sad when I discovered that it was fairly limited.

Could you please add weight / body fat index sync support so that my other health apps get access to it?

I think the devs are lurking on the forums, because yesterday's update didn't mention it - but it added one category: Weight!

Hello @boczar

I'm not sure what data is available through fitbit's API. The way this sync works, is Health Connect uses fitbit's API to access your data, then does what they want to do with your data.

Therefore, if it is possible, it will be up to health connect to make this change.

Sorry but as your fellow fitbit users, we will not be able to help.

I've also moved your post to the Third Party Board.

Health Connect support weight metrics, the Fitbit app just doesn't post them to it. This is not a Third-party issue at all as this is a integrated feature in the app.

I'm not familiar with health connect, other than it is a third party app by Android. As a third party app, it will be using Fitbit's API to send data to Fitbit.

Yes it requires the health connect app on the phone.

So yes it is an issue between Health connect and the posting on Fitbit.

Do you have confirmation that Fitbit is getting data from Health Connect?

The only suggestion, as fitbit users, we can give. (it often works) is to revoke access to health connect, then setup health connect.

Or contact health connect, then fitbit

@Rich_Laue Health Connect is not  third party app but a service made and maintained by Google, you know, that company that also owns Fitbit.

Here you can get familiar with it

The implementation done on Fitbit is that Fitbit only writes data to Health Connect but doesn't read anything.

You can see it here (same as posted by @boczar )

As a comparison here what Health Mate (companion app of Withings, not affiliated with Google) does with Health Connect

So you can revoke and reconnect how many times you want, things will never be solved if Fitbit doesn't change its behavior.
