FitnessPal/Fitbit Calorie and Exercise incorrect.

Hi everyone, hoping you can help me.

I synced MyfitnessPal and fitbit and all the data is... well, let's not. Anyway community this is my issue and I can't find a similar issue anywhere.

Fitbit is telling MyFitnessPal to put 900+ calories in for my exercise calorie adjustment for walking 10k steps. As much as I'd like to think this was true, it's not.

Myfitnesspal is telling fitbit Im eating twice the amount of cals I am so Im 'eating' 3000k plus cals when Im only eating 1600-1800 constantly putting me over budget. I've tried unsyncing both apps. Uninstall and reinstall both apps and it keeps happening. Help!

I was going to put print screen but it wont let me, but yesterday, I ate 1666 cals but on the fitbit app it says I ate 1769. I did half an hour of high intensity cardio exercise which apparently led me to burn 3163 cals throughout the day. But now fitnesspal reckons I burned 999 cals somehow and is giving me warnings about not eating enough and it's really screwing not only with my head but my diet. Can someone shed some light?

Hello @Cat_Hart, welcome aboard the Fitbit Community. How it goes so far. I saw your post hasn't received a reply yet. Is the issue still persisting?

Keep in mind your Fitbit dashboard will account your calories based on your exercise, allowing to consume more food when you have more activity.

If your Fitbit account is letting you know you are eating the double, I'm wondering how are you logging your food? it might be duplicate entries coming from MFP and Fitbit.

If this discrepancy is in the adjustment of calories perhaps the following post might give you additional help: MyFitnessPal: How to correct calorie discrepancy from MFP to Fitbit.

Hope it helps, See you until the next one!

Hi Sorry about the delay in reply.
What's happening is fitbit is telling myfitnesspal what Im burning in total
but myfitnesspal thinks this is all from exercise. Im happy to provide
printscreens. When it last synced at 8:30am this morning, bare in mind I
get up at 8 it'd told myfitnesspal I'd burned 543 calories from exercise,
adjusting my calories to 2000 odd. No wonder Im not losing weight, its very
frustrating.
