Help with linking....

How do I link so that fitbit has MyFitnessPals food database? I'm getting very frustrated with fitbits US food database. It should not take me more time than it takes to eat to find the foods I just ate to enter into fitbit. Between duplicates with discrepency info and items not in it at all it has me wondering why is the database such a mess. I like fitbits app design. I don't like MyFitnessPals app design. But I can't log my food if I can't rely on the items in the database to be accurate and have to make custom entries for too much stuff because it is not in there or is in there but I have to search to find out the correct nutrition info due to duplicates with discrepencies.

It's nice to have you on board @Jason.L. Thank you for your feedback about the Fitbit US food database. The engineering team is constantly working to improve Fitbit products and appreciate all the users comments.

To link your Fitbit account to MyFitnessPal please log in MyFitnessPal and go to this link. Select "Connect". This connection won't allow Fitbit to have MyFitnessPal food database but it will transfer the daily food you log in MFP to Fitbit. The following chart will show what information is synchronized between your accounts:

Why isn't it designed to directly access MyFitnessPals food database. Why require users to use both apps to get food from the one to the other?

@Jason.L This is actually the way how the integration between Fitbit and third party apps work. If you consider it should be different, you are welcome to place a suggestion in the Feature Request board. If any update is available in the future it will be communicated as soon as possible.
