How can I sync the free lose it app with fitbit?

I have tried to sync lose it app with fitbit, but it keeps telling me I need the premium version of lose it in order to sync.  A couple other people said they were able to get theirs to sync and they don't have the premium lose it app they have the free version.

Apparently they just changed it a few months ago where you havHave to have premium lose it to sync the two. I decided to give fitbit log a try. 🙂

How did you solve it?  I have Lose It! free as well. Any way around not paying for the premium?

Thanks,

Erin

Hello, I had no problem syncing to LOSE IT as I have had this app for two years or more but I have to enter my foods in both Fitbit and Lose It apps? Sometimes I enter my food on Lose it and SOME of my enteries show up and some do not show up on the fitbit app? I then try to enter my foods on the fitbit app and none show up on Lose it? I need to get it so I only have to enter my food in one place but in shows in bothapps. Any ideas from my friends here? Thankzzzz.

If you had the app before they went with the premium option you were grandfathered in and do not have to pay.

Sync is fixed! Please force a sync under Apps & Devices > Fitbit if your foods from the current day have not synced.

From the lose it app help page

April 21, 2016:

We are aware that food sync from Lose It! to Fitbit may not be working. Our team is investigating and working hard to resolve it.

Workaround: no workaround-- overall integration is working (mostly) as expected. Currently there is not a way to force a food sync between the two platforms right now.

Please check back here for updates.

Hello everyone here, In order to sync your Fitbit account with LoseIt, the user must be a Premium LoseIt subscriber. I guess the people who are able to sync free without premium is like @SunsetRunner mentioned above.

See ya later fellows.

Actually they have changed it to where you can sync for free. The premium just lets you join as many challenges and gives you a ton of stats.

Hello @SunsetRunner, thank you for your clarification. I guess this information was not clear with this integration and the last update I received was it require premium subscription. Good to know is not require anymore. Robot Happy

I think it might have changed around the time Under Armour bought MyFitnessPal.

Not so fast my friends........

Hey good people. I just bought the premium subscrition to Lose It because Lose It was telling me thats what I have to do. Now that I've paid the man, it won't sync the "cals in". Is this a feature that I'd like to have but it's not gonna happen??

Hi @steviesteel, welcome aboard to our community. It hard to define what exactly syncs with Lose it as the API doesn't belong to Fitbit, but according to what I know of this integration, your Fitbit account sends calorie data only to LoseIt and LoseIt compares their estimate to the user's calorie burn from Fitbit and adjusts the user's calorie goal. On the contrary Lose it only sends logged food to Fitbit; so "Calories In" are not share from Fitbit to Lose It.

Hope this information helps and let me know if you have more questions. I will do my best to answer.

The sync works great from Loose It into Fitbit. When I made my first post I didn't realize it takes 5-10 minutes for the data to update. It's all good!

I see you had information quite some time ago about syncing Lose it and Fitbit.  I have been trying and trying to sync them up and nothing works.  Any ideas?  I have the premium Lose it account.  I've contacted both and neither can help me.

Sorry, I don't think I ever got it to work. I don't use my fitbit anymore.
