Hi All,
I have a load of data in RunKeeper, but now FitBit can track my walks, so it would make sense to switch over to FitBit completely.
I have a load of entries in my FitBit account that have come through MyFitnessPal, which in turn have come from RunKeeper. However, they look a bit stupid because they only have duration and calories, not steps and distance.
Is there any way to get my Runkeeper data into FitBit?
Thanks,
Ed.

Not more than what you have now unfortunately. You can go back and add activities in Fitbit and then delete your Runkeeper inported runs but depending on how many you have, that might be quite time consuming.

@TedBear Welcome to the Community! Currenlty, Runkeeper data won't sync to Fitbit. Fitbit will sync calories and steps to Runkeeper but it's not possible to have those activities into Fitbit.
Note: Keep in mind that now that you have a Fitbit tracker you don't need to log walks or runs because your tracker was made for that. Any other activity that requires more than just steps should be logged since you mentioned that you're using MFP, It's better if you log the activities there.

@SilviaFitbit, When Fitibit is at least as capable as Runkeeper, then your point will be correct. Until then, the MFP intermediary (or equivalent) will have to work. And when we can edit activities again, that will get things back to the way they used to be.

@SunsetRunner It's nice to have you on board! If you have both apps linked and use the Fitbit tracker and Runkeeper at the same time then your activity will count double because your tracker will use your personal information to track your information and then Runkeeper will use the sensors in your phone to track data. Fitbit recommends to log activities that require more than just steps like tennis or yoga because by logging them you're going to improve the accuracy of calories burned that you get.
Have a great week

@SilviaFitbithuh? If the accounts are synced and a program is tracked/used in Runkeeper while wearing a Fitbit, nothing is double counted. Or am I misunderstanding your point? I use Runkeeper every other day while wearing my Force and I don't have a problem with double counting anything.

@tastybrew Fitbit recommends that we shouldn't be logging activities that are step based in the Dashboard because this will double count the steps. However, you should log activities that require more than just steps in order to improve the accuracy of the calories burned that you're going to get.

Thanks, but I'll continue logging runs via Runkeeper since it's actually useful. I don't have a problem with double counting steps and I have Runkeeper synced through MFP to Fitbit. Runkeeper doesn't count steps so I'm not sure how that could possibly be duplicated.
