Issues syncing with Noom app

First off,  Noom is not discoverable in the Fitbit app. Why can’t there be a search option instead of a list of compatible apps. It is discoverable in the Noom app itself. When paired it lasts briefly then the info does not synch. So frustrating. I have an iPhone 6s & the Fitbit charge. Help!!

Welcome to the Forums @Kitchenwitch28.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Given that these integrations are developed by the third-parties themselves, that would explain why the ability to set up the connection is only available on Noom's end.

My recommendation would be to try to disconnect the apps and then connect them once again. You can click here to read more about how to do it.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks! I’ve done that repeatedly. Noom is new & they definitely have some synch issues on their end. It works for a bit, then reverts to a zero count. I’ve decided to use my Fitbit independently & then just add the info manually, simply not worth the daily frustration.

Hi. Can you please share how you are entering your steps manually on Noom?  I’ve been trying to find way to no avail.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I go to the daily tasks where it says ‘do more’ then I put in the miles I walked. It’s not perfect but it gets it logged semi- accurately. It does ask for a time frame, you’ll have to figure out your baseline timing on walking a mile & use that to estimate your pace. It’s a less than optimal solution but the Noom membership will eventually end, so it will do. Good luck!

I’m having the noom Fitbit sync issue but before I got Fitbit I was synced to my iPhone health app. I would edit my steps through it and noom recognized it as my step source.

Thank you.

I’m new to Noom and see this has been an ongoing issue in your forum. With no real solution I might add. I’ve agreed in both apps for data to be shared. Fitbit shows Noom is one of my linked apps and Noom shows I’m connected to Fitbit, but.... Noom still isn’t receiving my steps in their app. Any help??

Honestly, I think it’s a lost cause.

I did it!!  Go to settings, connect addition device, choose Fitbit.  Once it shows connected go back out and click on choose step data source.  Toggle on Fitbit... it took about 10

minutes for my Fitbit steps in Noom!!!!

I did it!! I’ve tried what’s been suggested several times. Finally, I disconnected and the reconnected within the Noom app. When re-connected and it asks for the list of information that can be sent to Fitbit from Noom I selected all, instead of the 4 items I had chosen the last 7 times I tried this. Within minutes my steps where in Noom.  I hope this helps!!! I’ve used it before, without issue, so I know it works. Fingers crossed it stays!!

I did this too and it worked...for a few days. Then stopped syncing again. So frustrating.

So far it’s still syncing so, I am keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I have had Noom since April 2019 and for quite awhile, I had no issues with Noom picking up my Fitbit step count every day.  But it really got bad in November 2019, and since then I have had nearly 2 dozen days when Noom simple doesn't pick up steps and has a random number (like "186") and doesn't budge from there. I've even had Noom linking and picking up my step count and literally reverted back to a low obscure number right before my eyes when logged into Noom.  Noom support was friendly at first and now they aren't even responding to me AT ALL about this.  They had me go through all the steps several of you describe in this forum and none have worked.  In fact when they had me reinstall Noom and relink Fitbit, it messed up my Noom content and reverted me back to an early-in-the-program week.  It took several emails to support, who referred me to my Coach, then it took her 2 attempts to get me back to the generally correct week. No solution from Noom.

Same thing here. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. They won’t talk to me on the phone. Only email. It seems like if they would just TALK to people like us when it’s working vs when it isn’t, they’d be able to isolate the problem. But nope. Just emails and the same things to try each time. Very poor customer service.

I agree. I've done everything Noom has suggested, short of linking Apple Health to Noom...because I don't use Apple Health.  I am quite surprised how Noom customer service has simply not responded at this point, and has not even admitted the ongoing problem or when they will actually address it and fix it.  Despite all that, I will continue with Noom until my subscription expires in April...I have really loved the program and am disappointed that this hangs over that, so hopefully Noom will put more effort toward customer service so others don't have this same type of problem....
