Lifesum connection with Fitbit

I have read all the forums but havent seen this exact question — I enter all of my food into Lifesum (instead of Fitbit) (it has micro-breakdowns) and want this data to be imported into the Fitbit app. Are there any direct import methods??

If not — It is fine if Lifesum data first goes to Apple Health (which it is currently doing). But how can I make Fitbit *read* Apple Health to gather the calorie data? Or how I can I make Apple Health *write* that data to Fitbit?

Currently I am manually entering my total daily calories (as a number) (calculated in Lifesum) into Fitbit. But this doesn’t show the macro breakdowns in my Fitbit dashboard, obviously.

(Similarly, I have to enter weight data manually into both apps each day too.)

Or are there any other alternatives???

(BTW this should be an integrated feature not a hack!)

Hello @rmwwmr.

Let me answer your question about Lifesum and Apple Health.

It's important to mention that LifeSum doesn't figure in the officially supported integrations, this does not mean it won't work. Nonetheless there are many apps that are not officially supported but are able to work with Fitbit. However we cannot control or manage the information is shared across your accounts since the development of Lifesum is independently from Fitbit's end.

As for connecting to Apple Health, at this moment it is not possible for Apple Health to be connected to Fitbit directly. There are some third-party apps that help you connect both but we cannot guarantee their safety or that they will work correctly, since they were not developed by us.

Let me know if there are any further questions.

This is exactly my problem too. I discovered Lifesum right before buying my first Fitbit.. super frustrating that lifesum can’t send data to Fitbit.  I don’t want to have to use my fitness pal. It’s so ugly 😆😂

Welcome to the Forums @gracefred.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Perhaps you could try reaching out to Lifesum directly and request for this to be possible. You could also post about it in our Feature Suggestions board. Other users could then comment and vote on the idea to share their support. If you do post about it in there, be sure to read the FAQ about how the board works.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
