I'm not sure that there's anything to remedy.
Both fitbit and MyFitnessPal expect you to do a certain amount of activity during the day and they calculate an expected level of calorie burn. If your settings are the same in each account then these will be around the same value.
If, however, fitbit tracks your activity and it's lower than it expected then it will have to revise down it's expected calorie burn and it sends a negative calorie adjustment to MyFitnessPal so that it can make the same adjustment.
If fitbit detects that you were working harder than expected then your calorie burn will be higher and it sends a positive calorie adjustment to MyFitnessPal.

Is there a way to manually add the "exercise"? I see the number of steps/paces on the Fitbit. If I knew how to convert the steps/paces to calories burned, I could add them to my "exercise" tab on MFP. Fitbit shows that I've taken 446 steps & shows 1619 calories burned but I don't think that correct. I've been ill so sedentary since New Year's Eve along with the disease Pulmonary Hypertension that limits my ability to exercise.
Thanks
