New to fitbit and MFP

Hi,

I'm new to fitbit (just got my charge hr) and MFP, I've been logging my food for about two weeks now, and I've lost about 1kg with a goal of losing 9kg (deficit 750 cal).

So my question is, how much do you use the fitbit gauge? Since I started, mine was always under the green. Should I finish my days always on green? Also, do you scale your food when entering on MFP? I usually enter approximate values like cups/half cups, and so on....

Thanks

Hi, @SunsetRunner, wecome to the forums!

My personal experience with the combination of MFP and Fitbit is that MFP tends to overestimate your calorie burn for the day, so I usually stick with the Fitbit estimation.

You've got a pretty agressive defecit, so I would suggest you aim for the green band if you can.

Finally, I don't weigh my food, for me it's more of a general measure. I know that what I eat is healthy and I generally have good habits, but it keeps me honest.

Good luck with hitting your goals!
