Question about Information from Multiple Apps Syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use several apps for my fitness tracking.  I use FitBit for primary for most though. However I am forced to use MyFitnessPal for the nutrition trakcing and reporting. The FitBit side is not robust enough, not even close.

However i seem to be finding issues with multiple apps syncing. I end up with duplicate data points syncing across system and more data collected than actually used.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forums @DanOatx.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing your experience on the matter.

In this case my recommendation would be to take a look at all of the apps that you are using and determine what information syncs from where and how. Then try to only log information on the one app that would get the details on to your Fitbit account so that you do not get duplicates.

Keep in mind that each app syncs independently and thus they do no not check for what information has been logged to Fitbit already.

I hope you find this useful! Let me know if there are any further questions.
