Ring notifications not coming through my Fitbit device

I've seen a few posts on this but it seems to have got zero response from the folks at Fitbit.  I don't get any notification from my Ring app.  No mode changes for the alarm, no motion alerts from the camera, no doorbell rings from the doorbell.  Pretty much sucks to drop $300 for a watch and not have it alert for something that you've selected notifications for.  Seeing as I'm easily within the return window this could be a deal breaker.  Using Android 11 with latest updates to OS, Ring app and Fitbit app, along with latest FW for the Versa Sense.

Have you added your vote to the suggestion? As your fellow users, @sleebus we really do not know what has changed or if it is possible on what phone models.

Well, there's an 8 page thread in the Android section (where I originally posted this, until some mod took it upon themselves to move it here.)  It goes back to October 2019, and it's filled with frustrated users.  The main point is this: in the app notifications section, you can check the box for Ring.  It doesn't work for anything except if the alarm has been armed/disarmed.  All other motion alerts, doorbell alerts, etc. do not work.  When I was using a WearOS watch, they certainly worked for everything.  I am really puzzled as to why there has been a lot of requests from the userbase to fix the notification and it has apparently just been ignored by fitbit.

 

Furthermore, fitbit's response to the suggestion link above is disappointing.  They need to just fix their app and get the notification working, not try to foist it off on some third party.  

 

All in all a pretty bad experience for me with the Versa Sense.  My $64 WearOS worked fine, but the $300 Sense needs someone to do external development for it to work?  Ridiculous.

I don't have a ring and I don't know what notifications ring sends to the phones lock screen. Are the requested notifications sent to the phones lock screen?
