Hi all,
So, if this is a stupid question I'll apologise in advance but...
I have just got the Charge HR. With the HR functionality it would make sense to use this as my running app, right? That way I can get a full idea of burn and achievement?
I know I'd lose the GPS but I can use any old unlinked app for that.
OR do you still use a third party app? If so how does the HR montior combine to show burn?

Hello Matthew and welcome! If I am understanding your question, all you are looking for is the GPS integration right? If so, you can download and use the Fitbit app. It would accomplish the same thing as the other apps (Runkeeper, Strava, Mapmyrun, etc) but keeps all of the data in one place. This provides a map with your run based on the geo-points from your phone's GPS.
Hey there!
Thanks SO MUCH I had no idea there was a GPS running element built in! Excellent!
So I guess the only question is ... do I need to activate the wristband (i.e. press for 3 seconds to tell it I'm running) ...
Appreciate you getting back to me. I'm excited about joining the fitbit community, really want to make a go of getting in shape before I turn 40 in 15 months.

Hey @acerda thanks for that, it is clear now how this works now. I thought I had to use the '3 second button' for all exercise in order to track but what your saying makes it clear. Really appreciate you getting back to me. Looking forward to it's first full day tomorrow.
