Sending activity reports to post in Twitter?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I used to love that my exercise/activity reports would post to Twitter (as there was prompt each time I posted an activity, asking if I wanted to post it on Twitter). It was a motivator for me. But after one of the many updates, the prompt went away when I input my exercise. Any ideas how to post my exercise to Twitter again?

@GoGamecox It's great to have you here! Please check your Dashboard to see if Twitter is connected to your Fitbit account because if it's connected your stats should be posting. Go to your Dashboard>click on settings> click on Sharing and there you'll see "Link to Twitter" if you're seeing this it's because the account isn't linked to Fitbit so just click on Link to Twitter and follow the steps.

Let me know how it goes Smiley Happy

It's nice to have you here @SarmadJaved! Once, you have both applications linked. A Fitbit post should appear in your Tweeter account containing the daily stats. I would like you to unlink and relink both applications.

To do so:

- Go to your Fitbit account > click on settings

- Click on sharing > unlink Twitter

Hope this helps.

Fitbit no longer submits day stats to Twitter, and there is no "Sharing" section under settings (neither in the mobile and/or desktop site and in the app) — is that a deliberate choice or a bug?

A warm welcome to the Community @krizzz! Currently, this is the way that Fitbit stats can be shared. If you would like to share it in a different platform other than Fitbit,  you will need to tap or click the option to share the post outside of Fitbit.

Hope this helps! I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the response. As I understand, the only way in which statistics can still be shared is within the Fitbit platform itself. The possibility to share statistics in a daily tweet was phased out in the last week. No messages hashtagged #Fitstats_en_US were tweeted since the 10th of January.

Judging by the previous message this was decided to tighten the community, and let interaction take place exclusively on the Fitbit platform itself rather than in the public sphere. Duly noted.

This is a shame. It was nice that it automatically was shared. But now there is an extra step? That's unfortunate.

Thank you. Technically it wouldn't be a new feature, though — it's something that has worked flawlessly for nearly a decade but silently phased out

Hello @krizzz.

I apologize for the delay in my response.

While it is definitely not a new feature perse, making a suggestion post about it is still helpful so that lots of users can show their interest.
