I'm trying to set up a new StepBet game using my FitBit Flex 2 as the step source. My average step goals for the last 3yrs is only 1-2k a day, but StepBet keeps giving me 7k-9k goals when it's only meant to be a little higher than your average. I've tried contacting StepBet support multiple times explaining that I think the algorithm isn't pulling my data through correctly, but they just give vague replies that the goals can't be changed and are based on a number of variables as well as average step history. I know these goals aren't right though, because a) I used to do StepBet a lot pre-2020 and was given lower goals when my average steps were far higher, and b) my partner has tested what goals he is given, and his goals are lower than mine when his average daily steps are 6-7k.
In desperation I deleted both my StepBet account and FitBit account, then set up new accounts with a different email address. I now have 11 days FitBit data under the new account, with daily average of 2k, and yet StepBet is still giving me 7-9k goals!
Does anyone have any ideas on whether there is any 'hidden' data in the Flex2 that would be affecting this? It's really getting me down as I want to do StepBet for the motivation, but I obviously can't just suddenly more than triple my daily steps, and I know from past experience with StepBet that it's meant to give you realistic goals that push you a little but are still achievable.
Any help would be hugely appreciated, as StepBet customer support just won't help!
