I have my Garmin 235 set to sync to Fitbit. The steps come over and are included in the daily count in my watch but are not included in the weekly total or contests. Anyone else experiencing this?
For example, my current 7 day step total is about 80k steps. However, if I scroll through and add the step totals from the last seven days manually, it should be more like 100k.

Hi, @thekingadrock, by design, only steps detected by your Fitbit or by MobileTrack count towards your friends 7 day leaderboard or challenges. Steps manually added, or synced from 3rd party apps (such as your Garmin) will count toward your daily steps, but will not sync through to challenges or 7 day leaderboard count. It is the same for everyone. This is the way the program is written and is not a bug.

That's unfortunate. I don't want to wear two watches when running and my Garmin is capable of so much more than anything Fitbit has to offer.

I wanted to loop back to this. If you moved from Fitbit to Garmin, the best approach is to use MyFitnessPal as your primary dashboard. Move all of your Fitbit stats to MyFitnessPal and when that's done, start syncing your Garmin. All of your steps will carry over appropriately including calories burned, activities, etc. The only thing that will be missing is the sleep tracker data from Garmin. However, sleep tracker data from Fitbit will stay.
