I have my Fitbit app connected to myfitnesspal. My steps recorded on my Fitbit are not showing up on myfitness pal, I have over 7,000 steps for the day but on myfitnesspal it says 0 out of 10000 Fitbit tracker steps. I've closed all the apps & reopened them, turned my phone off, but it still is saying zero.

This is not working - i have tried this several times. please help.

I have deleted the apps, revoked access, disconnected the apps - and still can't get the steps to sync to mfp from Fitbit - I can see my food intake on my Fitbit app but no steps on mfp diary .

I don't want to abandon these 2 products but might if I can't get it to work ... 😰

I've tried all the steps: disconnecting/revoking both. Logging out of both. Waiting 15 min. Logging in, reconnecting. My steps show up in the MFP website when I CheckIn, but show as 0 zero in the MFP app on my diary. I've shut down and rebooted.

It is rediculous how complicated this is, and that the problem is still unresolved.  Why why why?!???

Okay, it's working today. Not only must you login and out of the websites for MFP and Fitbit, you also must logout and back into the MFP app! Then wait. It took a while for it to all filter through.

Still doesn't work for me.

appreciate any help you can provide!

I have given up and severed the link between the two apps. I don't like how MFP recalculates exercise calories throughout the day - way too sophisticated and complicated, I don’t like not being in control! Gone back to entering exercise manually in MFP. Not happy but it works for me. All the best.

I've done everything you outlined and while I do believe it is synced I just can't seem to understand why on the MAIN diary page of MFP it reads that there have been zero steps when in reality I have 3,362! WHY???

I bought a Charge 2 over the weekend, and haven't been able sync it with MFP. I can see my steps and sleep in the Reports section on MFP, but the calories and steps don't sync with the diary. I've already disconnected and reconnected both accounts twice already.

Since this question is from last year, have there been any updates on this issue? It's frustrating to see MFP say I haven't burned any calories when I can know I've burned 3K.

I share your frustration. I eventually learned from MFP ( where the problem lies, not with Fitbit) that MFP doesn't just take the steps and calories as provided by Fitbit, but does some fancy (infuriating) conversions depending on the time of day of the exercise and food taken. I never fully understood it but didn't like MFP's justification for how some days several thousand steps ended up not giving me extra calories. So, as I've said many times above I broke the link between Fitbit and MFP and enter exercise to MFP diary manually now. Good luck.

What does it mean to go to your apps page?

I have MFP and Fitbit installed on an IPhone  6s, but I have never seen the "Allow" pop up and the apps have never been able to connect. I have I installed, reinstalled, and logged in, logged out and re-logged in. When I disconnect and reconnect, I still don't see the "Allow" button and I can't share data between the two apps.

I'm having issues syncing my steps today. It's syncing food from MFP but not syncing steps into MFP

I am not able to see my steps either. Have been using this for over a year and today it stopped linking my steps from Fit bit to My Fitness Pal    I followed the steps you gave and it still did not work.

I have had this issue and it is still not resolved.

I hope there is something else that restart or disconnect issue.

Today all of a sudden steps are not syncing with myfitnesspal at all. Usually not an issue for me. I have followed all directions. No luck.

I am having the same problem. I found this article on MyFitnessPal but, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a fix yet. *sigh*

Hope they get it fixed soon!

Doesn't work.  Unlink both, wait 15 minutes, re link, set MFP to use the exercise data from Fitbit (steps).  It updates, but then DOES NOT CONTINUE TO UPDATE.  I've unlinked and linked 5 times today.  Every time on "relink" the steps data passes from Fitbit Charge to MFP, but then that's it, no more updates.  This to me looks like a Fitbit issue and not a MFP issue.

I found this while trying to fix my sync issue.  The solution works IF you use a computer browser.  I logged out of both apps on my device.  I then went to the MFP website (using the browser on my laptop), chose app and clicked on my installed device.  I then chose disconnect.  I then logged out of MFP and back on, again.  Now I could reconnect the two apps.  I opened Fitbit first and then MFP.  I don't know if all the restarts are needed but disconnect through a browser, not your apps.  It synced immediately after that.

Thank you for posting ajenilynn!  Your link is very helpful.  This is exactly when my problem started regarding the steps from Fitbit not registering in My Fitness Pal, Saturday, afternoon, 4-15-17. I wish I had known of the info in your post earlier this morning (Sunday 4-16-17).  I have unpaired and paired and unpaired the Fitbit Charge and MFP numerous times today trying to "fix" the problem.  Lots of wasted time apparently if it is a known issue at MFP.  I guess I'll stop trying to troubleshoot an issue that apparently is being caused by MFP.  Again, thank you for your post and link.  At least it gives a reason for this problem that just cropped up, and that it does not appear to be the "unpair, pair" solution to the problem.
