Having problems when using my fitbit.
After completing a run/cycle, my fitbit automatically uploads to Strava. The problem is that the distance shown on strava is considerably less than on Fitbit. I run with my phone in my pocket, but Strava not open.
Fitbit and Strava has the same time for the run, but different distances. Strava showed a minute and a half of one of my runs as being a pause, but I did not stop or pause my fitbit.
Any help?

When you start the exercise on your Charge 4, do you wait for the GPS lock? I.e. after you press start it should say "connecting" with a GPS icon which should change into "connected" and then you should tap the start button. If you press start before the Charge 4 has a GPS lock the exercise starts recording but GPS tracking doesn't start until the Charge 4 has the GPS connection. The Fitbit app can still measure the distance because it also relies on your step count. However, Strava only relies on GPS data for your distance. That could explain why the distance is shorter on Strava than on Fitbit.

Hi mate,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I always wait for the GPS to connect before I press start. Sometimes it takes a while but I always wait for it to say connected.
I did a run with Fitbit and Strava both recording, and when I finished the run the times and distances were almost identical. Presumably this indicates that the problem lies with the Fitbit app and the upload process?
The live help guys on Fitbit support suggested it could be to do with the smarttrack feature, but after following their instructions there was not change unfortunately.
I've had no response from Strava.
