Strava forcing Fitbit password reset

Trying to connect my Fitbit Versa 3 to the Strava app. Through the Strava app when I try to add Fitbit account, every time I attempt to sign into Fitbit it tells me that my password needs to be reset. This seems like a HUGE red flag and I refuse to reset my password through a secondary app. I've tried resetting through the Fitbit app twice and still get the same reset pw prompt in Strava when I try to connect. Anyone encountered this or have a solution?

@Chaell0 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. 

I moved your post to this board, in an effort to keep the forums organized. It's odd what you're experiencing. 

I'd like you to log out from both, Strava and Fitbit, force quit both apps then follow these instructions to connect them: 

  1. Log in to your Strava account on the app or website 
  2. Find the section for connecting another account. This section is often called "Apps" or "Connect."
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and log in to your Fitbit account when prompted.
