Strava sync fails

There is a similar post but is marked as answered, it isn't, so I'll post another.

My last working Strava sync was 3/28/23. Went out for a SUP to try out the new exercise mode on my new Sense 2 that I waited 2 years for (and a bike ride after that) and syncing fails. My Sense 1&2 synced everything before this without issue.

I've done all the trouble shooting suggestions from Strava and Fitbit.

Strava says Fitbit pushes data so there is nothing they can do.

Something other than linking to existing help pages would be nice.

Regards!

I worked with Fitbit support on this and will put the details here in the hope it helps another.

FB:Hi, Ron. Thanks for troubleshooting. Sorry to hear about this. Are you referring to the new GPS exercises? To connect with third party app, see: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1742.htm. Let me know your Fitbit account email address so I can take a closer look.

Me: Yes, used the paddle board for the first time and syncing has failed ever since. @Gmail.com

FB: Thanks. You can try the following workaround: - Choose to download an individual GPS exercise as a TCX file. - Import it into Strava. Currently, the only ones that sync through 3rd Party integration are Walk, Run, Hike, and Bike.

Me: I successfully uploaded the fitbit exported tcx file of my bike ride (after my SUP paddle) into strava.
Me: I'm guessing the SUP exercise caused the sync fail. Any plan to add SUP/Kayak to the sync?
Me: Or at least stopping the SUP from killing the sync. I swim as well and that exercise doesn't break the sync.
Me: Uploaded the SUP exercise as well. It came into Strava as a run but I could change it there.
Me: So the work around works but my auto sync is forever broken.

FB: Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for your efforts. We’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. I appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Me: Ok, looking forward to a fix!
