have had my Fitbit Zip for 2 months and absolutely love it. It is an ideal motivator and I have lost 14 lbs and feel wonderful. I sync my tracker to my PC and log my food at least once daily. I do not have a smart phone or android device to sync to. I recently received a chrome book for when I am traveling away from home for a few days. I am able to log my food on my chromebook. However I cannot sync the doggle with the chromebook. When I attempt to do so it says that Sync is not compatible with google except on android devices and chrome is not an android device and therefore is incompatible. Is there someway that the Fit ( and the other devices) will sync with an app that is available through google. I would gladly pay for the app - I do not expect it for free - although google does sync with several other brands of activity trackers and nutrition counters . Since the chromebook does accept google apps I could use it to sync if your FitBit app was compatible with Google. Can you suggest how I might achieve this? Either you could become compatible with google apps or I could contact Google to see how they could accept your app. PLEASE! I really want to be able to sync when I travel since I am wearing the Zip everywhere. But I need to contact a windows laptop in order to keep in touch after more than a week and I am concerned about missing even a day or two of data.
P.S. My Doctor is delighted with my progress and I have convinced my good friend and my daughter to purchase them also.

To be honest with you, I don't think that there are enough Fitbit users with Chromebooks at this time to develop compatible software. While Chromebooks can run some Android apps, pure Android is not the OS. But, your tracker will store minute by minute detail for 7 days and summary detail for another 23 days so you shouldn't lose any data if you can't sync for a while.
