Hello there @Dawnswiney, a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! I saw your question and my apologies for the late response.
Atkins is not listed among our officially supported third party apps, however this doesn't mean it won't work. There are tons of apps that use our Open API to integrate their service with ours. The best way to tell if an app is compatible with Fitbit is to go to the third party site (or app) and poke around their settings to see if you can connect Fitbit. You can also browse their site for information or contact the app owner and ask if they integrate with Fitbit.
A while back, I heard from other users, that Atkins was releasing an update that will allow to connect with other apps. However this is not official information and I haven't received more details on this subject.
