My wife and I have both been unable to sync our watches with FB and therefore haven't been able to add any friends or even eachother. we've repeatedly tried the steps it lists to sync on the app and on our computer and nothing seems to work. I have a Charge 4 and she has the Versa 2, is there something we're missing or something we haven't done that we need to?

The option to connect with Facebook was removed from the Fitbit app so if you want to connect with friends, you can search them by contacts on your phone, email associated with their Fitbit accounts and username.

On your post. Tap on your name. Tap on go to fitbit profile.
Give your friends a link to this page.. Some post this link on facebook/twitter
Like @BraulioFitbit states
In the fitbit app.
Tap community.
Tap friends (the list is phone contacts)
You can also tap email and paste/type the persons email address.
Or if you know their user name, not community name, search this way.
You now have 4 ways to get friends.
