Did an activity this morning and, while messing about in the activity in the Fitbit app, accidentally changed it from run to hike. Changed it straight back, but now can’t get this activity to show in Strava.
Any means of manually forcing this across? All the GPS data is there.
Best AnswerIt may still sync to Strava. Fitbit isn't well known for quick Strava syncing at the moment..! However, in case it doesn't...
From there I assume you can possibly change the workout type in Strava.
Many thanks for the detailed response. I’ll give that a go when next near a ‘normal’ computer.
Best AnswerStrava has not been syncing with my Fitbit account since the 2.50 update. And I have tried to upload a TCX file and get the following error message:
Best AnswerAre you using a browser other than Chrome, by any chance? A quick Google search found an old non-Fitbit related forum thread where this error message appeared. The answer in his case was to use Chrome to upload the file to Strava. May be worth a shot if it applies to you.
Transfer worked mostly ok. Thanks for the hint to use Chrome, as the export wasn’t happening with IE.
Only downside was that the elevation data did not seem to transfer - can’t have everything.
Thanks again to all for the help.
Best AnswerI am using Chrome.
Best AnswerI thought I'd do this yesterday when I saw nothing recorded on Strava. However, when I downloaded the TCX file from Fitbit, it was only 1kb and Strava told me it was empty!
While I was doing my activity, Fitbit showed me the distance covered and time and a map at the end. However, this information now seems to have been wiped and when I look at the activity on the Fitbit app and website, I only get the step count.
I'm extremely unhappy about this. I spent more money to get a Fitbit that works with GPS because I specifically want that information and have ended up with the same basic step counter that I could have bought for half the price.
