Transfer between MyFitnessPal and Fitbit App

Hi Everyone,

I have recently upgraded my smartwatch from a Veryfitpro to the Fitbit Charge 3.  The app & watch works perfect, but I have a question about tracking my meals, & activities correctly between my previous meal log app Myfitnesspal.

When I log meals into MFP app it transfers a total calorie in count to the Fitbit app, but the food does not appear, just the calories in.  Is this normal?

Next, when I complete an activity (ex. Treadmill) it is recorded on my Fitbit app but not logged on MFP app (Just my total steps logged from my Fitbit watch).  How can I have it log the activities as well as my steps?

Hi @Ken1983 it sounds like the link between MFP and Fitbit is working as MFP intends it to. MFP only takes your days data,

However Fitbit does not give third party apps the ability to send food logs.

So would it be in my best interest to just log in the fitbit?

It would he great if I could enter it on my fitbit & have it transfer automatically to MFP.  I know my total steps are the only thing that logs on it.

I have been using MFP for 3 years straight now & have yet to miss one day.  Would hate to walk away from this accomplishment. What would happen if i just logged it in both apps each meal, will it mess up my calories in total?

You may want to log into MFP community and find out how they handle this.

Yes my fitness pal only takes daily totals.
