View and pause/resume Map My Run

My Fitbit Zip died and I'm considering replacing it with a Blaze. One question I can't find an answer to:

Can I view Map My Run info on the Blaze while I'm running, and can I pause and resume Map My Run with the Blaze? I can with my Pebble watch, and it's very convenient. Especially the ability to pause and resume when I'm running with my phone in an armband.

Hello @PlotMonkey! It's great to see new names on the Forums.

Controlling the run from Map My Run is not possible through the Fitbit Blaze. The Fitbit Blaze can only be used to track GPS information with the Fitbit app itself, connecting to your mobile device's GPS capabilities.

Let me know if you have any more questions! Smiley Very Happy

Hey @PlotMonkey!

Perhaps you could consider the Fitbit Surge. It has built-in GPS and a lot of different other options.

If you have any questions, be sure to let me know/

Thanks, but I'm not really interested in the Surge for various reasons.

I've been using Map My Run for quite a while now. I really like it and want to continue using it. I just wish FitBit and MMR had better integration

Hey @PlotMonkey

Perhaps you could contact MMR and ask if they have any boards or forums where you could make this suggestion. I could certainly see the use in being able to use MMR along with your Blaze.

In the meantime, perhaps you could visit one of our Discussion boards. There other users talk about a lot of different topics.

Hope to see you around.
