Does anyone know how to use fitbit stats with weight watchers activity points?

If you have etools with WW, go to the Activity Tracker.  Look at the bottom and click on add steps.  Then look at it and set your stride length to what you have it in Fitbit.  Select all day.  At the end of the day, record there your number of steps on the Fitbit.  From this you will earn Activity Points based upon Fitbit steps.  If you do exercise that isn't step based, of course, you have to manually add it to WW.

Here is the steps to link the Fitbit

  1. On your home computer, log into your eTools account.
  2. Click on "Track Weight". That will bring up your "Plan Manager".
  3. In the top right corner, click "Settings". That will bring up a small box, with three tabs.
  4. On the "Customize Your Strategey" tab, scroll down to "Activity Monitoring Device".
  5. Click "See All".
  6. Select your (activity monitor) and log into the account.

Finally, finally.  This is new as of just yesterday.  I will be very interested to see how the conversion to Activity Points works.

I'm glad that weight watchers and fitbit are supposed to work together, but has anyone actually had any luck using the tracking?

I have not been able to get WW to accept my steps from my fitbit when I tried to connect them. Now weight watchers won't open on my iPhone.

What steps did you take? Mine is not recording.

I had to go to the weight watchers eTools and selected fitbit as my activity monitor. (see prior posts for exact steps). You need to provide WW with your user name and password for fitbit. I needed to reload my aps due to some freezing screens.

On the WW end all that will post are the Activity Points earned, not the specific steps.  All WW really cares about is how many APs you earned.

If you haven't met your baseline for activity, then you won't earn any Activity Points.

Thank you for explaining this. I think I will lower my 10,000 steps.

I hooked up my fitbit to WW last saturday. But on most days, it takes hours for the activity points to show up on the WW page, but eventually they do.

WW is not taking into account any kind of Baseline for the fitbit. Only for AL

None have ever shown up. Fitbit shows up on WW but no activity points. Guess I will just go back to adding points myself for activity points earned.

not true! I do jazzercise 5 days a week. some days I do 3 hrs, other days 1 hr...and 2 days a week, I don't exercise. On those 2 days, I still get activity points...but it is usually only 1 or 2...when I do jazzercise I get up to 10 for the day. So, those unactive days to get points, and I'm certainly not near my baseline those days.

Which browser is your computer using? I'm using Chrome, and since Monday or Tuesday, fitbit is working great!!! It does take some time for ALL your activity points to show up, it is not instanteous.
okay, we are going to start ALL OVER AGAIN. I want you to remove fitbit as your activity tracker from the Weight watcher site, and CLEAR/CLEAN OUT your computer 's cookies, then turn off your computer and turn it back on again. Disconnect your fitbit from the fitbit website too.

Hook up fitbit on the fitbit site, and then go to the WW site and add fitbit as your activity tracker. See if your fitbit app syncs on your phone. Go do some walking and see if your steps show up on the fitbit dashboard.
IF ALL OF THIS DOESN'T WORK, then call the WW etools tech number 1 866 442 4810.

AND THERE IS NO BASELINE FOR FITBIT!

I don't think the WW activity tracker is very accurate when linked with fitbit.  Two days ago, it gave me 20 AP,  yesterday it gave me 19.  Today, I did more steps, more distance and it only gave me 1 AP?  I cannot even manually log my hard bike ride because it will only take the fitbit info now.  WW needs to get some better programers.
