Whatsapp phone messages not being displayed on my Fitbit

My Android phone is set up so that any Whatsapp messages received are displayed on my Fitbit.  This is no longer happening.  Anyone know of a reason for this?

Unfortunately having no luck with this at all - am giving up now as the
time I'm wasting on trying to sort it out far outweighs any benefits.  
I can't understand why it was working but has now stopped!  Thank you
very much for your help.

It did start working again for a few hours one day last week - then stopped again!!
