I linked my fitbit to facebook but it never shared updates as expected, I read that you could deauthorise it and then reconnect to solve this matter.
I have tried this and now only recieve the following message:
Unable to finish authorizing with Facebook. Received Facebook error response of type OAuthException: Code was invalid or expired. (code 100, subcode null)
So frustrated with this whole fitbit thing, wish i had never bought it.
Anyone able to help please?

@shaun666 A warm welcome to the Community! One of our members share a great solution about unlinking and relinking both accounts. I would like you to check this post and try the procedure described there.
Hope this helps

I've had the same issue since day 1.
I've tried the "fix" posted about after I received a reply from my initial comlpainty logged but heard nothing since. A lot of people get great encouragement from friends and clubs when they post their activities on FB and it's something I've always done, but can't now!
Very frustrated

I've been using fitbit for a year now. Facebook is now GONE from the sharing page on the Fitbit settings page. Just noticed it like a few days ago. Wordpress and Twitter are still there, but not Facebook. WHY? And WHY are there no answers to this ANYWHERE? Is Fitbit flexing to dump Facebook like they did Apple?

guys you need to make sure you are emailing support about this problem. the more people complain and make this problem known to them the sooner it will get sorted.

Yes! That happend to me. It worked always in the past. Suddenly it stopped working and I can only use Wordpress and Twitter for sharing - Facebook is gone whatever I tried. I deleted and installed the apps countless times - always the same result - it's not working anymore.

I emailed them back again after the advice they gave proved futile. Not heard anything back yet and if/when I do, no doubt it'll be a generic apology, offering another workaround and saying that they're looking into it.
To top it all, I went to use the notification option today for my call/text alerts. That doesn't work either... spent 2 hours associating/ unauthorising the app/phone/PC and again no use. It first says the phone isn't compatitbale for notifications (it is according to the website) but if I keep hitting set-up, I eventually get a tick in the box... but I don't get the alert when getting a call/text,
Frustration continues...

Hi
It seems a lot of people are having the same problem!
Overall I am unimpressed. Not only do we have the issue above but;
I wasn't aware that you had to use another app (in my case mapmyfitness/run) to record food as not once has the fitbit app found any food i try to enter or barcode that I have scanned!
I use maymyrun as the GPS on the fitbit is inaccurate, for every kilometer I run fitbit records 100 meters less, on a treadmill its even worse. At least on another tracker app i have something accurate to view, but why are we forced to use two apps to make one device seem like a good product?
Completed runs are often shown on the final route with large chunks of the run missing?
I should be able to run or exercise with my fitbit surge and share or view the activity via the products app.

Finally got an email response to this issue. Here is what I received.
Hi Kevin,
We apologize for the delay in our response due to pile of emails we have. We make every effort to reply as quickly as possible.
Automated sharing via Facebook has been disabled while we investigate some alternative methods for sharing stats on Social Media in more meaningful ways. While this method is disabled, we'd like to suggest another free integration that will allow you to select the stats you'd like to post to social media on a daily basis. This service is called IFTTT (which stands for "If this, then that") and has several options for posting daily stats and to your Facebook account, along with much more. You'll find options to customize your social media posts, select the stats you'd like to share, and even set up your account to sync Fitbit data to your Google drive.
Check out the recipes here: https://ifttt.com/recipes/search?q=fitbit+facebook
Let us know should you have other concern.
Sincerely,
Ma. Theresa C. and the Fitbit Team

It's a bit of a long winded workaround and the end product isn't pretty, but it works I guess...
Still don't think it should be taking this long to find a better solution though!

It's a bit of a poor situation when the free apps like Map My Run, RUnkeeper etc. can all seamlessly post to Facebook. OK so the GPS might be a little hit & miss, but that's more to do with the equipment than the app, but all the same, they work.
