fitbit syncing with mapmywalk accuratly

I use Mapmywalk becuase I have found my Fitbit Flex hasn't been very accuarate in distance. I have synced the two apps, but my Fitbit never records the entire amount that Mapmywalk does. for example, I just walked 4.18 miles, when the two synced, my Fitbit read 3.28. How can I get this to be more accuarate?

@JamieLitchfield Hey there! Fitbit calculate your distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. MapMyWalk uses a GPS to track your distance so Fitbit won't necessarily match the data with a GPS. To make distance more accurate enter your stride length

I must have a default stride length. Took a walk yesterday with my son, who used MapMyWalk. I used the FitBit Flex GPS tracker on the iOS FitBit app. MMW measured 3.79 miles; FitBit app measured 3.74. That's close enough for my purposes. My son probably took a few more outside curves on the walk.... 😎
