fitbit tracking on Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Samsung Gear 2 Neo, but would like to track my steps in the fitbit community like the rest of my friends. Would it be possible to develop a Tizen app that allows for tracking from a Gear 2 device? It might convince me to purchase an Aria scale, but I could see how it could work against fitbit sales. Nevertheless, one can argue that iphone tracking hurts fitbit sales, so it would be a nice feature to have and should build customer loyalty.

I guess Samsung Gear 2 Neo must not have alot of adopters, but it is a very good device for the price. It just needs 1 killer integration to bring in several adopters. I suppose one of the limiting factors is the Tizen OS, but having native apps on the watch is a major plus and one advantage over the Android Wear.

Hello @Lisarie. It's great to have you here! The Samsung Gear 2 Neo is still not a compatible mobile device, however, our team is always working on making our app compatible with as many devices as possible. As this process takes quite some time for testing, we don't have any set timeframe for when certain devices with be fully supported. I recommend keeping an eye on this page as this is what we will be updating when devices become fully supported.

Any other questions or comments, let me know. Robot wink

The page link only lists phone support. Would like to have step support on a third party wearable or, since the Gear 2 Neo is nearly 2 years old now, maybe fitbit can release a wearable with equivalent functionality.
