not syncing properly

I have a Fitbit ionic and have had it for maybe a year and had no problem, then received an apple watch as gift recently, and I tried it out and even used the MyFitness sync app to stay in the Fitbit community. I wasn't satisfied with the apple watch and returned it within less than 24 hours. since using my Fitbit again, I can't seem to get my steps to sync to my app. it is like stuck on saying 851 steps where before I synced it, I had a couple thousand, and along with miles. after restarting the Fitbit, reinstalling the app, and setting the Fitbit to factory settings it still does not want to sync the steps. it tracks calories and fights of stairs but just not steps or flights of stairs. any ideas on how to fix this issue?

@PaigeG1022 Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I appreciate that you mentioned you've had your Fitbit Ionic for a year. I'm glad to hear that you're wearing your Fitbit Ionic once again. I would like you to make sure you've tried this syncing troubleshooting

If Fitbit and MyFitnessPal aren't syncing, please try revoking access to both and check if they sync properly:

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon

     > Settings > Applications.
  2. Click Revoke Access to disconnect an app from your Fitbit account.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
