There is a youtube video where the guy DOES sync it to his fitbit HR, published in Jan 2016; I've tried these steps and it doesn't 'find' the fitbit like his did.

This video goes over how to sync your Fitbit Charge HR with MapMyRide app. You will have to pair your Fitbit Charge HR via bluetooth to your phone, link your online Fitbit account with MapMyRide app, and sync Fitbit Charge HR heart monitor with MapMyRide app. Products used: Samsung Galaxy S6 - ...

No, you can't use FitBit to sync to any MapMy apps.  I bought a Blaze and totally regret it.  Had a simple Polar monitor that linked with MapMy. I totally regret my purchase. buyer beware, Fitbit doesn't sync heart rates with MapMyApps

I am just using the 'press the button' to log my bike ride, I went online to create a "Bike Ride - Outdoor" logo (my fitbit does auto detect bike rides, but they aren't the actual start to finish.  I'm still using the mapmy; for miles, and terrain data.  It is what it is.

@srdohm,@ksookikian Welcome to the Community! That's correct Fitbit won't sync heart rate to MapMyRide app. It's one way integration, meaning that Fitbit will sync distance and calories but MapMyRide won't sync anything to Fitbit.

@Marrrmaduke @colordancer Thank you so much for sharing your experience.Smiley Happy

Not sure if this from the new dash update or not but I have MyFitnessPal, MapMyRide, and Fitbit synced. MyFitnessPal recieved my bike ride from MapMyRide then synced it to Fitbit. Fitbit shows heart rate data for the ride.

It's great to have you here @anthonylafrance! Thanks for the screenshot that you've attached. It's showing heart rate data for the activities that synced from third-party apps because you probably were using your tracker. So, it's mixing the information to show a more complete activity tracked.

Hi there!

In that case, if I am wearing my Fitbit Charge 3, and using MapMyRide (all synced together and with MyFitnessPal), does the Fitbit double count the calories burnt?

The recognize exercise feature on my Fitbit is enabled.

Both workouts show in my exercise log (the one that Fitbit tracked), plus the data from MapMyRide... aaaaaand the entry from MapMyRide says that the workout contributed 11K steps to my total...

Really confused, and wanted to know if there is any doubt counting.

Thanks!

This is ridiculous. Any third party apps should be able to connect directly to the watch.

This is unacceptable - this is pretty simple engineering wise.  I just paid for the Pro version of MapMyRide to be able to get that data, only to find Fitbit doesn't provide it - now I am basically out the $30.  I was looking to get the Premium upgrade for Fitbit, but now I guess I need to look at other fitness trackers that will work with other apps.
