my fitness pal has 18 grams as a goal for saturated fat but has zero for a goal for polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats? This makes no sense to me since these fats are btr for me than saturated fat. I keep getting a red number for being over zero for poly and mono fats vs saturated. What is up with this?

Hey! I'm an MFP user and they guys over at the community have 2 links that are vital on your path to weight loss.
Coming from the starting point that 1 pound of fat = 3500 cals, you need to make your ground based on "a calorie is a calorie", but you must also consider the nutritional value of them.
So, want to get started? Check "A guide to get you started on your path to sexypants" where you get the basics for weight loss.
Also, wish to go deeper and get the most nutritional value per calorie? Check "Setting your calorie and macro targets" and you'll be good to go.
